Dan Marino launches “Americana” Vodka

Dan Marino is a Hall of Famer, a broadcaster, an entrepreneur, a restauranteur, a philantropist and many other things.
He’s now a booze peddler as well.
Not that that’s a bad thing! In fact, we love that Marino has introduced his new vodka on to the world. It’s called “Americana”, and it was introduced to the world at Maria Pia’s restaurant in New York City on Monday night.
In a way, I think it infuses some class into the “jock” reputation many athletes get stuck in after retirement.
I’ve seen many, many athletes invest in wineries after their days on the field. Joe Montana is the biggest name amongst them, as he lives on a ranch in Northern California that doubles as a wine field.
Peggy Fleming, Dick Vermeil, Mario Andretti and Tom Seaver also have invested their time and talent to that particular field.
But Marino is the first I know of that’s gone into the vodka business - and more power to him!
His chain of Dan Marino’s Restaurants and Hooters franchises have thrived since his retirement, and he seems to be successful at just about everything he tries to do.
So, if you see it in your local restaurant or pub, be sure to order up a little slice of Americana.

I think it is great that Dan Marino is involved with “Americana” vodka. He does so much for children through his foundation as well as helping many famlies. I will be sure to support this vodka because he represents the meaning of being a true American! Cheers!

You can’t get more American than Dan Marino, He is a true roll model and it is about time a big time American hero gets involved with an American product. What a great product to go against all those foreign imports. I heard Anericana won a Gold medal with an international tasting group.
Go Americana, I can’t wait to see your Super bowl Commerical.

Hey just tried Americana and it was the best I ever had, who needs imports when you can buy something from AMERICA with out it costing more than the imports.

Great site! I brought a bottle of Americana to a holiday party, it was a hit. I am starting to see this vodka pop up at some big time nightclubs in NYC. It’s about time someone is supporting an AMERICAN product. This JETS fan says...."Great job Marino!”

We found Americana at Wegmans in Princeton, New Jersey. My husband and I bought two Americana Vodka gift baskets for The Fourth of July! I am going to two different parties and I figured it would make a perfect house warming.
