Barry Melrose

It took him six games - and an overtime period on top of it - but Barry Melrose finally got his first win as the Tampa Bay Lightning coach.
It didn’t come easy, either.
The Ning led 2-0 in the third period, but allowed a pair of goals to the visiting Thrashers that forced the game into OT.
In the extra period, it was Vincent Lecavalier time.
The former No. 1 overall draft pick scored with just over three minutes left to go in the game to break the tie and give Tampa Bay the W.
It wa a long time comng for Melrose, who last coached a team to victory in 1995 as the head man for the Los Angeles Kings.
So, congratulations to The Mullet, who’s deserving of some MAD LOVE from us today!
