Boston Red Sox

It didn’t look like there was much hope after the top of the seventh inning with the D-Rays leading 7 -0, but J.D. Drew and the Red Sox reminded us once more why we believe and why we watch, completing the second largest comeback in playoff history!
Scott Kazmir, B.J. Upton, Carlos Pena, Evan Longoria and the rest of the Rays put on a display worthy of victory, but it wasn’t enough.
The Red Sox continue to show their character.
David Ortiz, Coco Crisp and J.D. Drew brought them from the brink of elimination to another lifeline as they head to Tampa Bay for Game 6.
Honestly, I didn’t think they had a prayer of winning this game at all and probably would’ve been one the many, many fans who filed out of Fenway a little too early and are now throwing themselves on the T tracks.
It was one of those truly memorable games October’s brought Sox fans for the last several years. This game had all the drama and excitement you could possibly want.
One can only hope that Ortiz, Drew and Crisp will continue to stay on and that Varitek and company will start to come alive for the next game and force a seventh.
So, here’s some MAD LOVE to the Red Sox for providing us with another amazing mid-October night!

Aside from Games 4-5 from the ‘04 ALCS, I’ve never had so much fun watching the Sawx.
