Chase Utley

One of the league’s top MVP candidates proved why he’s just that Thursday night.
Chase Utley took a Derek Lowe pitch deep into the night in the bottom of the sixth inning to turn a 2-0 deficit into a tie game in Game 1 of the NLCS.
Two batters later, Pat Burrell also went deep, and the 3-2 lead held up for the Phils, as they took they first game of the seve-game series from the Dodgers.
Utley’s dinger was clutch, though, as he’d been cold throughout the first part of the playoffs and needed something to get him going. Perhaps this was the shot that’ll get him going and keep him hot the rest of the way.
Philly’s second baseman went 2-for-4 on the night, while Burrell was 2--for-3.
For the long awaited dinger the entire city of Philadelphia’s been waiting for this postseason, we’re giving Chase Utley some MAD LOVE today!
