Cristian Guzman

I don’t have many rules for one to grab an automatic MAD LOVE.

All I know is that no-hitters get in automatically and no New York Met will get to this point if I ever have anything to do with it.

One other way to almost be sure to reach this lofty point is to hit for the cycle, and that’s exactly what Cristian Guzman of the Nationals did against the Dodgers on Thursday.

And it was the best kind, too. The kind where he had to get the triple last.

That’s where the pressure kicks in, but Guzman came through with flying colors.

The day finished with him going 4-for-5 with three RBI as the Nationals put yet another hurting on L.A.’s playoff chances. The Dodgers have now lost seven straight games.

With Guzman’s big day, he’s now 12-of-26 in his last six games (.464) with a home run, six runs scored and five RBI.

Not a bad stretch of games for the former All-Star, who capped it off the perfect way.

Some MAD LOVE goes out to ou today, my friend!
