Fedor vs. Sylvia - Done In 36 Seconds!

Comments

Let me get this straight. This was the match the world was waiting for? Wow, I’d hate to see a battle that no one cared about!

Simply put, Manny Pacquiao’s last fight was better than any MMA match this year. On top of that, I’ve seen maybe one or two MMA fights that were as action-packed as the fight between Steven Luevano and Mario Santiago...and I’d bet no one even saw that undercard brawl. More over, Wladimir Klitschko’s KO was more impressive than the cuddling these two did, and that’s coming from a slowly growing heavyweight division.

Well, that’s all I’ve got to say for now. I can’t wait for the next MMA bomb!

Manny Pacquiao couldn’t win a bar fight against a woman!! These guys are tougher than any boxer ever to live! If I wanted to watch two guys that weigh 200 lbs combined fight I’d go to my local elementary schoolyard

Um, yeah. If you’re going to weigh in on a LEGITIMATE debate, please try coming with a valid point, like Eric D. does. Let’s not turn this into “comment tough-guy” insulting people that’d beat the crap out of him.

Not once have I said MMA’ers are soft, because that’s just stupid. Pacquiao’s probably the best current boxer, and if he fights De La Hoya, it’ll outsell any event put on by MMA, ever!

Richard, Richard, Richard.

We meet again.  Alright, the Fedor fight didn’t go as planned.  But the truth of the matter is, it wasn’t the fight that everyone was looking forward to.  It was Fedor returning to the ring after almost an 8 month layoff.  His skill cannot be denied, he’s 6’1” and 230 pounds and he beat the crap out of a guy 6’8” 265. I might be wrong on the number here but I’m at work so you’ll have to bear with me, he’s something like 29-1 now. That’s why this fight got so much hype. That and it was the first for the Affliction Fight organization.

I’ve never seen Manny Pacquiao fight so I can’t say one way or another how great the fight was. The point i’ve been trying to make the whole time is for the number amazing fights there are about 10 times that of simply AWFUL boxing matches with two guys throwing measuring jabs and tying up everytime action starts.

If you think all MMA fights are boring you needed to watch some of the UFC fights from Sat. One of the coolest submissions i’ve ever seen live, there was also a head kick that knocked a guy out cold. Imagine standing a board up straight and letting it fall down. That would be a good represention of Brodie Farber getting kicked in the head.

Or you could take a fight like Josh Koscheck Vs Chris Lytle. When Koscheck hit Lytle and blood spattered on the camera it had to get the blood pumping, if it didn’t you’re a corpse.

This won’t ever be settled, neither side will give in. Agree to disagree?

Agreed.

With that said, I’ll definitely pull some YouTube footage of those fights. For the record, I’ve given props to MMA in the past; but to me, the sport’s hit a peak that it can’t surpass.

As for Pacquiao, if the fight with De La Hoya actually happens...it’s definitely one that’ll bring in lots of money, and with any luck, hopefully Pac-Man can dispose of Oscar once and for all.

In a perfect De La Hoya would just go away forever. More money has been flushed down the toilet on ppv’s with that guy as the main fight card than any other boxer in history

Here’s a comment. The link no longer works.

I challenge Richard to walk into Hooters next time Fedor is on a PPV, and say this is nowhere near as good as a Manny Pacquiao fight!!!

Um, yeah...I really do love it when a non-sense comment is tossed into an otherwise good back-and-forth. You do realize I can say the same thing, but flip the scenarios. It’s kind of common sense that a crowd watching MMA or Boxing will vouch for their personal favorite.

As for the De La Hoya comment, I do believe that’s one point we both agree on Eric. I enjoyed watching him back in the days, but now it seems like he’s always back-peddling. Don’t think that’ll fly against Pac-Man though!
