Jason Kidd

I’ve never really had a problem with Jason Kidd, as many people seem to.
I know he’s not in the NBA for his shooting. He’s a specialist. He leads the break. He runs the show.
However, I don’t care how good you are in the open floor or how many assists you dish out; if you continually score in single-digits, how much of an asset are you really being to your team?
Kidd scored - get this - ONE POINT on Tuesday night as the Mavs lost by just two at home to the Lakers.
Is it me, or is this just absolutely unacceptable. Maybe they’ll try to play it off by saying he’s still getting used to his teammates, but I’m not buying that.
Basketball is basketball. He had seven assists, sure, but he only took three shots, made none, and went 1-for-2 from the free throw line.
If you’re the starting point guard - and one the team just gave up several other players to acquire recently - and you’re playing 28 minutes a night, you need to account for more than 15 points of offense. Your team isn’t going to win games like that.
Kidd and his teammates better get it together quickly, because the rest of the Western Conference is way too good for them to playing like this.
Today, Kidd gets a load of TOUGH LOVE from us.
