Jason Richardson

My Charlotte Bobcats were the team to beat last night.
I don’t say that often, of course. I guess they must have had the Heat at home or something, right?
Perhaps the Grizzlies or the Clippers?
Oh, but NO!!
Ladies and gentlemen, my Charlotte Bobcats were right here in Los Angeles, playing at the Staples Center against the big-time Lake Show! And they took ‘em down - big time!
The Bobcats came into L.A. and beat the Lakers handily, 108-95, and Jason Richardson was the man leading the way.
J-Rich went for 34 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks, three steals and four three-pointers in the 13-point win in which they didn’t trail for nearly 46 minutes of play.
There’s something about the Lakers when it comes to the Bobcats, who have played them well for the last three or four years now, actually having swept the series a couple years ago.
An even bigger story to come out of this one was the fact that Kobe Bryant picked up his 14th and 15th technical fouls and was ejected from the game with just over four minutes to go. What’s more importan, though, is that one more would equal an NBA mandated one-game suspension, which is automatic after a player is assessed 16 techs on the year.
He’ll also get another game for each technical after that as well, which could have implications in the team’s run towards the best record in the Western Conference.
But the story of the night was the Bobcats and Jason Richardson, who all deserve a big boat worth of MAD LOVE from us today!
