Kosuke Fukudome

What a great way to start off the 2008 baseball season!!

Eric Gagne getting hammered over the center field wall in the bottom of the ninth inning by rookie sensation Kosuke Fukudome, who went 3-for-3 in his first MLB game, was as entertaining as a sports event could get. Even if it was just Opening Day.

We’ve heard the buzz about this kid for some time, but to lift his team like he did is just remarkable. It didn’t seem to register to the public that Chicago still lost, which a great thing for the Cubbie fans across the country.

I’ll remember this game for the call from Brent Musberger, which gave me chills when Fukudome made contact.

MAD LOVE goes out to Kosuke Fukudome for his stellar debut!
