Lindsay Hunter All-Stars v2.0

by E. Spencer Kyte

Let’s get this out there right up front before someone starts crying foul:
The Lindsey Hunter All-Stars are not my creation. They are one of the many brilliant creations of ESPN’s Bill Simmons, “The Sports Guy”, whose always entertaining work can be found at tWWL. Actually, I’m pretty certain that a fellow reader actually suggested the group to Simmons, but he’s kept up the references over time, so by default it’s now his.
Most important thing to take from all that: I know this isn’t my creation, I am acknowledging the rightful “owner” and you can keep your plagiarism claims to yourself.
With that over and done with, let’s get down to business.
What exactly are the Lindsey Hunter All-Stars you ask?
Well, they are a collection of athletes whose names could be misconstrued as those of extremely attractive women. Doesn’t Lindsey Hunter sound like she could be hot? See how that works?
They can come from all realms of sports and we encourage you to add your suggestions to the comments section below.
Please enjoy responsibly.
Alexis Ajinca sounds like some smoking hot Brazilian babe who would be in the running for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover. Too bad he is a bench warming center for the Charlotte Bobcats.
Have you met my cute Italian friend Andrea Bargnani?
Everyone loves twins – from Mary Kate and Ashley Olson to the WWE’s latest duo The Bella Twins. Our version? Brook and Robin Lopez.
The NHL was kind enough to provide an entire starting lineup:
G – Pekka Rinne
D – Kim Johnsson
D – Lasse Kukkonen
LW – Lauri Korpikoski
C – Blair Betts
RW – Colby Armstrong
The Seattle Seahawks have a pair of Wide Receivers on the team in Courtney Taylor and Jordan Kent, while Sidney Rice represents the great state of Minnesota and Kelley Washington holds it down for New England.
Lynn Greer sounds like the younger daughter of 70’s fox Pam Grier. Unfortunately, the name is spelled wrong and he was a star at Temple before bouncing around the NBA and Europe.
Both Sasha Vujacic and Sasha Pavlovic ruin the wonderful images I have of hot chicks named Sasha (see Alexander, Cohen, Fierce).
Torii Hunter could also make the list, but we’ll give him a pass since he’s an All-Star.
Who’d we miss?
