Mario Chalmers & Darrell Arthur

It wasn’t to long ago when Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur were on top of the world.

Chalmers hit the biggest shot of the college basketball season, while Arthur was instrumental in Kansas’ national title. Figuring that they had “been there and done that,” they entered the NBA Draft and were drafted.

Life doesn’t get much better.

For Chalmers and Arthur, though, something was missing.

Forget the NBA money, forget the life long free pass in the state of Kansas, and forget the chance to live out their childhood dreams. These two had higher aspirations and they involved those deadly “W’s“ - weed and women.

Chalmers and Arthur were in New York to attend the NBA rookie transition program, a four day seminar designed to help rookies adapt to the NBA lifestyle.  It seems there was a miscommunication, because Chalmers and Arthur were doing their own adapting.

The night before the seminar Chalmers and Arthur got busted by hotel security for having some funky green and funky ladies with them.

Both players could be fined up to $20,000 and both will start the season on the suspended list. Oh yeah, both have to attend the seminar next year. Hopefully, they’ll leave the goodies at home.

Seriously guys, hotel security? It’s one thing to get busted by the 5-0 out at a club, but you’re out of college now. You shouldn’t be toweling the door and sneaking in visitors.
