Montreal Canadiens

Congratulations go out today to the Montreal Canadiens, who claimed their first division title in 16 years with a 3-0 win over the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday.

I haven’t followed hockey as closely as I did in the 80s and 90s, but I’m slowly enjoying the sport again.

There is great parity going on right now around the NHL, and I see the sport making a comeback.

OK, maybe not enough of a change that’ll increase ratings to that of American Idol levels, but it’s on it’s way back. You get the point.

Montreal’s struggled to get in position to win the Stanley Cup in recent years, which surely has the bar business down in the city. But folks in the hospitality industry to the North, don’t worry, you’ll make plenty of money in the next month.

But wait, do the folks in Canada tip on a pint of beer? Who knows?
