Philadelphia Phillies

Man, I love this team. I could watch these guys play all year.
While swigging a few brewskis and watching Game 4, I jokingly referenced how sweet it would be if a pitcher homered in the World Series.
Thanks, Joe Blanton. His blast was the first ball off a pitcher’s bat to reach the seats in 34 years. Although that was the coolest thing to happen all night, it sure wasn’t the only sweet morsel of joy uncovered this evening.
Ryan Howard appears to be fully awoken from witness protection, crushing two belt-high breaking ball mistakes over the right field fence.
Jayson Werth blasted a ball over the fence, J-Roll seemed to smack a double every at-bat and Carlos Ruiz is straight pimp with the bat and the glove. What’s not to love about this team?
A colorful cast of characters with all the skill, charm and compassion that we tend to least expect from athletes is on full display in the land of the Tasty Kake.
I can’t fight this feeling anymore. I gotta give MAD LOVE to the Phillies for being the most fun team to watch in ages.
Oh, and for being one win away from their second World Series win in their 100+ year franchise history.

I have to ask: Is this really happening? Will somebody pinch me?
