Stryde Hax

Dude, this is how you do investigative journalism.

If you haven’t had a chance to cut to the source of the IOC’s looming Chinese Gymnast issue yet, here is where to get your information.

We’re not entirely sure what this cat’s real name is, but he sure has made a name for himself. Mr. Hax (?) went all Edward R. Murrow from his PC and traced the age of double-gold medalist He Kexin (何可欣) to be 14 and not 16.

He did so by cross-referencing Wikipedia, an Excel spreadsheet from a Chinese government document, and numerical results from a Chinese-only search engine. By using the power of cached documents and screenshots, he was able to ignite a global firestorm and poke huge holes in the credibility of the GASOC (General Administration for the Sport Of China). This guy is an absolute Rembrandt - and yet, the methodology used was so simple.

For those of you who think you are too far removed from the action to truly make a difference, let this one curious cat’s due diligence serve as a lesson to you all.

Information is the currency of the Gods.

MAD LOVE to a man who searched for the truth and found it through Google.
