So, you’re the 18th-ranked team in the country, right?

I know you’re coming across the country to play UCLA on Monday, but this shouldn’t be much of an issue, should it?

I mean, we’re talking about a team the local radio stations out here in Los Angeles were calling to go 2-10 this year.

This should be a cakewalk.

Oh, but no.

Tennessee had a 14-7 lead going into the second half and a 14-10 lead heading to the fourth quarter. However, they couldn’t hold on.

The Bruins scored a late touchdown to tie the score, then kicked a field goal in OT to take the quick lead.

When Tennessee’s kicker failed on a 34-yard attempt in response to that, it was all over.

The 18th-ranked team in the country flew home with an 0-1 record and a bad omen going into a full slate of SEC games the rest of the year.
